Happy Six Months Helo!

HELO WADE ROWLEY

I wish I could say Helo got up like this Himself...
But Mommy just wanted a good picture (hehehe).
However, He did enjoy it and stayed like that for a little while.

So Cute! Helo is Always Happy in the morning.
(knock on wood)

I was asking Him "Did you have a good nights sleep?"...
He was responding back...

What a flirt!

Cutie!

I asked Helo to show His teeth, so this is Helo showing His teeth

Sorry it's a novel...

So Helo is six months old! He is getting SO big. He gets up on His hands and feet to crawl and then rocks back and forth, then He will move one hand and one foot and then face plant it!
After that He will "swim" across the floor. It really looks like He is swimming under water with the way He moves His arms and feet. But Helo always gets where he wants to go, either by swimming or rolling seven times in a row.

Helo Loves His bed.
When Helo gets up before 7:30 (which is rare, but will occasionally happen)
Daddy and Mommy do not get up to get him until 7:30-7:45.
Thankfully Helo is so precious and patient,
He will just lie in His bed and talk to Himself until Mommy or Daddy comes.
Sometimes He will even fall back asleep until after 8
(that's really rare, but happens on occasion).

Helo also has His two bottom teeth! Yea Helo!
His bite is strong too.
Helo is still sleeping through the night as always (12-13 hours).
With the exception of teething, He was up and down for three nights.
His naps, could vastly improve. He naps start at the same time every day, but sometimes He naps for twenty minutes, others two-three hours. It changes every day.

We just had His sixth month appointment and the Dr. had told us we had an abnormal Baby.
I looked at the Dr. weird as He started laughing.
The Dr. said Helo is over developed for His age group... Great!
And, He eats like a twelve-eighteen month old... Incredible!
Helo eats every meal with us at the table.
Helo's favorite breakfast is ham and eggs. Yes, chunks of whole ham and eggs. Not mashed either (that makes Him mad). He just gums it until He is ready to swallow.
For lunch, He loves spinach and feta stuffed raviolis. Again, don't mash them. Just cut into tiny bites and He will gum the rest. He also eats peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and sauteed veggies (squash, zucchini, asparagus, pepper, onion, and broccoli).
Helo loves broccoli too! Just give Him tiny trees (sauteed well) and He will gum them.
For dinner, it is a little harder to make dinner for Helo, so He usually will eat what ever we have of fruit that night and then baby food risotto w/cheese. However, the He did love eating Mommy's new recipe of luau pork and rice. We are truly grateful that He is not a picky eater!
The Dr. said He is doing well and because we have already introduced food items with peanut butter, honey and milk, that it would be okay for Helo to eat these products now (honey only in cooking though). Well, Dan and I researched that organic milk (as expensive as it is) is good for brain development, so Helo (only at meal time) drinks organic chocolate milk.
Oh, and when Helo eats, He is very picky about NOT shoving food in His mouth. He will not let you give Him another bite until He has finished His last. (Great for us as parents). Helo still breastfeeds, just obviously not as often as He used too (but He does eat just as much as He used to when he does eat).

One incident that happened recently was Helo had received the flu shot... obviously He would be cranky. But that night I woke up to a weird sound on His monitor around 2 am. So I ran into Helo's room... He was giggling! I went to kiss Him goodnight and His head was BURNING. I took His temp... 102.3... So I woke Dan and asked Him to give Him a father's blessing. After the blessing I gave Helo tylenol and kissed Him good night. He was asleep within ten minutes.

Helo's favorite new game is "Find Me Peek-A-Boo". We set Helo in the middle of our bed and we get on the floor (our bed is high off the floor), then we jump up and say peek a boo, but when we go back down we pop up on a different side of the bed. It is funny to watch Helo try to chase us, but before He can get us we go back down and pop up on the opposite side.
He LAUGHS so hard.
Other than that, Helo is still growing healthy and strong.
Well, that is about it... Love and Miss You All!
