SNOW DAY!

Pictures of our back and front yard...

So, Dan wants me to specify that this is Helo's second snow fall.
However, it is the first time Helo ever went out in the snow!

Helo and Mommy right before we went out.
Helo was all bundled up with...
a long sleeve onsie, pants, socks, zip up winter pj's,
scratch mittens, thick mittens (Great Grandma Janny made them),
a jacket, warm up pants, a binie, and (when we got outside) Mommy's scarf.
(yes, it was a pink scarf...but it was Mommy's)
He was WARM, and ready for the snow.

Dan walking out in the snow.

Daddy and Helo, I Love this second Picture!

Helo and Mommy in the snow!

Helo and Uncle Chris in the snow!
DO NOT get in a snow fight with Chris!!!
If you do....RUN!
He likes to get the snow in between you and your clothes...PUNK!
It was fun though getting him back on the living room floor,
right when he thought it was over. Hehehe.

Right before we all went inside, Mommy wanted pictures of Helo IN the snow.
So we laid Helo in the snow and took a couple pics.
When we went to pick up Helo...
The snow was SO thick that it was like Helo was lying on the carpet.
The snow had NO indentions, it like it just fell.

The Three Of Us!
This storm was, well...WOW. Every one N E S and W of us had no power. Some were out of power for 5 days or more! So Dan and I stocked up on wood (in case others needed some too), but we never lost power. We were good on food too (Thanks Mom for all the food storage). But the day after this snow fall it was supposed to just rain and melt away. Instead, it snowed more and the previous snow turned to ice and weighed down all the trees. Trees were snapping in half and branches falling every where. One huge part of a tree hit Helo's window in the middle of the night, Dan and I jumped out of bed! Luckily the branch only tore the screen. I will add those pics to the next blog.
Some streets were closed, people evacuated, just due to trees. It was insane!!! Dan and Chris helped people that were stuck in the snow too (just to park your car under a carport was an adventure). To say the least... This storm was an event you would have to experience yourself to understand.
Overall, Helo had a lot of fun. We would make snowballs and let Him slobber all over them.
You could tell He really didn't know how to react.
But that was the best part... watching Him discover!
Love You Helo!

Visitors

When we took our trip to Cali,
So many people held Helo that We didn't get any pictures with Grandpa.
So when Grandma and Grandpa came to visit,
we were sure to get
a couple pics with Grandpa.

This picture is ADORABLE!!!
Helo Loves His Grandpa.

Helo and Uncle Chris (and Daddy)...

Daddy's Day Off...

On Dan's days off, Helo and Daddy just chill together.
Mommy was trying to clean the house and found them like this...

Daddy was on the computer and Helo saw Mommy bring out the camera.

Helo got bored of Mommy and wanted to watch tv.

They look so chilled.

And they both look so HAPPY!

Helo and His Own Room.

I know there are A LOT of proud moments as parents, and Dan and I have had quite a few already. And we had another... Helo is sleeping in His own room all night!!!
Helo was ready to move into His room about a month ago, but I was hesitant. I enjoyed having that comforting feeling that both my men were right next to me all night (Helo in the bassinet). But I knew eventually that Helo would be in His own room and in order for Him to grow independently, as a Mom I would need to suck up my own discomfort and allow Helo His own room (literally). But as an excuse the last month, I told Dan that because we have family coming up to visit, if we moved Helo to His own room, He would be back in ours anyways.
So to keep the memory detailed... On Tues Jan 3, Helo did His regular bed time routine (eat, bath, massage, eat) and was asleep and in bed by 7:30pm. Before Dan and I went to bed, I went and woke up Helo at 10:30 for a feeding. Then Helo was back in His bed by 10:45pm. Dan and I went to bed and Helo woke up at 2:33am for another feeding. Helo was back in bed by 2:49am (and Mommy by 2:50). Then Helo woke up for the day at 8:22am Wed morning!
We were so proud of Helo!
The next night Helo slept in His room again... Helo had His regular bedtime routine (eat, bath, massage, eat) and He was asleep and in bed by 7:30pm. I went in and woke him up at 10:15pm for a feeding and Helo was asleep until 3:37am when He obviously became hungry. Helo ate and was back in bed asleep at 3:52am. Then Helo slept until 8:55am!
So Helo is permanently in His own room now... Love You son!

Daddy and Helo right before bed time!

Helo and Mommy right before bed time!

This is Helo the first morning He woke up in His own room!
He was SO Happy!

WE are glad He enjoyed sleeping in His own bed.

This is the second morning Helo woke up in His own bed!
I found Him playing with His stuffed dolphin.
He scooted all the way up from the white sheet protector!
Mommy and Daddy learned that we now have to take
ALL the stuffed animals and pillows out (that were no issue before).

This is a milestone we will Never forget!
We Love you Helo,
You just make a lot of little noises when you sleep.

Go Wisconsin Badgers!

The Wisconsin Badgers made it to the Rose Bowl!
And as you all know... We are FANS!
So we all dressed up in our gear,
and watched half the game at home,
and the final half at the Wagners/Jones.

Helo looks adorable.
This is His Wisconsin winter hat that
Great Grandma Janny made Him for Christmas!

Go Wisconsin Badgers!
Helo was very into yelling during the game.

Helo is SO cute. He looks so Happy, and a little flirty.

Jumpy Helo!

Helo kept jumping around like a rabbit!

Dan was nervous...
He has learned to bite His tongue,
Well... Finger.

When Football is on, Helo is His Daddy's Son.
His eyes are glued to the tv.
But come commercial, it's play time.

Dan wants me to clarify that all these
'Happy pictures'
are before and during game pictures.
This picture was after the game.
Even Helo was sad.

Helo and Mommy

Dan saw that we do not have very many pictures of Helo and Mommy,
so He took some more pictures on Christmas morning.
(Please excuse the laundry in the background)

Helo was trying to look at Daddy under the camera.

And here, Helo was trying to eat Mommy's face!
What's new? Hehehe
