Then starting at 3:30am on Tuesday August 16 2011, my contractions were every 30mins apart, keeping me from sleeping. So I baked cookies and did two loads of laundry, I knew our baby was coming that day.
At 6:45 Dan's alarm went off, he hit snooze and I gave him five minutes. Due to my contractions now being every 10 minutes, I woke up Dan and told him that if he wanted to go into work that day he'd better go right then. So Dan went to work and starting at 7:20 my contractions were every 5-7 minutes apart and at 7:30 they were every 3-5 minutes. I called Dan, but he had to be at work for at least another hour. The contractions were still tolerable, but getting worse, so I called my friend, Jilene Wagner, and she took me to triage while hearing me yell "Go Away!" to every contraction (which happened to be every 2 minutes now). We arrived at 8am and I was admitted immediately at 7cm.
Dan arrived at 8:25, right before they were about to numb me for the epidural. And this is a picture of Dan and I right after the epidural was given... waiting for our baby to arrive.
